No marks found. Don't know if solid silver, plated or other alloy.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Looks like cast aluminum to me. Could be zinc, I suppose. Don't think it's silver.

What makes you think it's silver?

It looks too dark to be silver...could it be pewter?

Looks pewter to me too. You don't mention size or weight, is it heavy for its size? Pewter is pretty heavy.

If it makes any sense - silver is more 'white'. This looks more 'grey' like pewter does. That's what made me think. Also, if it was silver, something this big would surely have hallmarks on it.

Here's some info on Pierre Deux pewter cow creamers. According to the following dedicated cow creamer website, Pierre Deux is one of the distributors of these pewter cows with pen and bucket. They say the maker seems to be Universal Pewter because somewhere on them is stamped U P in a circle. Scroll wayyyy down page, about 3/4ths of the way. The easiest way to find it is to search (Ctrl+F) the page with the word Deux. There are 2 pics with one a pic of 2 pewter cows and a pic of this cow in a pen. The description on the right first tells about the 2 cows followed with info on this cow.

After you said Pierre Deux, I found several of them online with some either now on eBay or were. They all seem to have "Pierre Deux" clearly marked on the bottom of the tray/pen. Sooo, I don't know if PD or Universal Pewter from what I've seen. Anyways thought I'd pass the info from the dedicated cow creamer site on to you. Here is one that was on eBay that didn't sell with the Pierre Deux clearly visible.:

A little artistic license is one thing, but whoever designed that critter ought to be reported to PETA. Looks like he used a Great White pig for a model!

Pass the little pink pitcher, please!

I thought is was the most deformed cow I had ever seen, but was politely restraining my comment. That was not going to last.

PS, it's a Large White Pig, Great White shark.

I'm sure David Cameron wouldn't reject it.

It's not as if the pig had a choice. I doubt if Cameron was given a pick the prettiest option either.

I suspect that the pig had more taste and discrimination than to choose Cameron. ;)
