    Hi everyone,
I have purchased several cameos recently, I have to make the time to post them all, one by one.
This cameo I am enquiring is signed, starts with a capital “Y” then I can see “manl”. I have a feeling I read about this signature in the past on a post @Bronwen please remind me if so. I wonder if you could decipher the signature, and please can you give us an idea about the age and the frame leaves .
The metal is not hallmarked but test as 9 carat gold. It has C clasp closure. It’s quite chunky and beautiful frame, probably added later to the cameo as on the back can be seen some works done.
    Many thanks.
Please copy everyone whom may be Intrested.

Very nice find, Simona, and antique too. The three girls are the Three Graces, three daughters of Zeus.

They are identified in this quote from https://www.vam.ac.uk/articles/the-three-graces as Euphrosyne (mirth), Aglaia (elegance) and Thalia (youth and beauty).

Yes, it is. Late 19th century, probably 1880s-90s.

The Three Graces, as you have been told.

The signature is Mouhé, first initial T, J or F, have never been able to pin down. He appears in a business directory from 1850s Paris. Have never found a second reference from another time that would give a clue to his active years.

Nice piece. He did some excellent work. If you do a search of the Jewelry Forum for Mouhé you will find other examples that have been posted over time.

Does this help with his initial at all, @Bronwen?? There's some sort of a 'squiggle' at the top of the letter.....

Thanks. That brings it out nicely & I will add pic to my files. Problem with this guy is that sometimes the signature looks like the one on Simona's cameo, sometimes like this:

Mouhe bacchante 1B.jpg Mouhe Diana Versailles 2B.jpg Mouhe man 1C.jpg

    and sometimes like this:

Mouhe Apollo Diana 1B.jpg Mouhe Inspiration Dan C.jpg

Thank you all, fantastic work. I will attach few screenshots of the previous posts on this signature.
I did find someone Jean Mouhe in France, similar timeframe.
Truly enjoyed @Jivvy ‘s input, hope to meet her one day virtually.

I know. I just wanted to show that the work of his on the market is also highly variable. :)
