Hi all, I am hoping to get some information on the pictured shorter and sons pieces. I can't find any info on them online except a few images of the same style.
Are these considered 'antique' are they collectible and/or of value. Any info would be awesome. Thanks

Hola, and welcome to the Forums!
There are lots of brainiacs here to help you. They usually don't give valuations, but after you have a good identification/descriptor, it's easy to search for similar items on eBay or wherever, and get an idea.

Thank you for your response. I did check out eBay AU, UK, Etsy in my search for information. I have come across the design but not the actual items and those sites don't have much information on the design, era, if it was a full set once etc. I am not really concerned with a $$value more if it is of value then I will need to take more care in keeping in good nick LOL thanks again.

I have never seen that interesting stuff before! But isn't it considered a trifle twee??

It is indeed a tad twee, but hey. ;) Shorter were, of course, the Clarice Cliff factory, as she married the bloke wot owned it. Not quite antique, as they're late 40s to early 50s, or so. Value? In the UK, 30 to 50 pounds, but worth looking after.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

After I finished fainting, I looked up "twee" in British slang... it means "excessively quaint or sentimental", for any other Mexicans reading this...

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Yes, ma'am! In Southwestern/Mexican-American/Spanglish-speaking communities, it is very vulgar slang for female behavior that is shamelessly sexually inappropriate. I apologize profusely if I have offended anyone. My surprise got the better of me when I posted that!

Edit - Note to self... count to ten before posting after fainting. Forgive me, please.

Tee hee! I'd not idea of that other meaning. I'm vastly pleased to discover it.

And in return, never use the word fanny in polite company here. HAH!

Thank you... an even trade, then? Thank you!

Edit - And FANNY is such a dainty old-fashioned term for the backside here!

I did find this forum in me search for answers but the last post on the home page is from 2010 so I moved on from it. Have you used that forum in the past?
