Found this in a basement a while back. Can’t find the mark anywhere. German? WWI? 60BC8BAE-54E1-49EA-B487-1B2185FBEC9A.jpeg DAA9DD7C-D164-4943-B129-8F95FFAC36E6.jpeg 15737E19-8981-4F74-A203-2BB989B2AD6F.jpeg

I'll let someone with more knowledge go beyond what I'm guessing.

I started looking at the mark, but that did not pan-out for me. Then I found this

    I looked for construction similarities.
Spain has similar aspects in the belt frog, leather scabbard, and steel mounts. See M1892/93

The frog is longer and has an extra lower notch.

Thanks much for doing some digging. That one does look remarkably close. I guess it’s probably for a Mauser even if not that exact one because of the longer frog.

problem is that Belgium made similar and exported them as far as Africa and South America . I've seen that mark with the crown before but can't remember where from.
