    I know this isn't (very) old, and definitely no antique ...but I still hope you can help me identifying the artist.

    No idea what the first scribble is, and then I read 'Kib', but I can't find any Shona carvers with that name.
    And is this brown serpentine?

    And your thought is correct, as this is (most likely) Shona art from Zimbabwe. :)
