    Good day good people !

I have a lovely Sheraton style buffet sideboard which I think is a reproduction. My question, if anyone can help, is how to tell an original from a reproduction. I'm new to this so any tips would be gratefully received. Many thanks !

Greetings, Daisy Doo! Let me call some furniture people for you. Lovely piece, but I'm sure they will want additional pictures. @Ghopper1924 @verybrad

By examining the construction details, none of which are shown in the photo.
Guesses reproduction based on photo provided, looks too crisp to be period, not a ding or blemish which, in a 200-year-old period piece is most unlikely.

Pic is not sufficient for analyzing but gut reaction says 20th century.

I'm sure it's reproduction. As you said it's in too good condition. The velvet is pristine too.

Another feature of your's indicating a reproduction is, if you notice the 2 center feet on the period examples they are dead straight as they should be.
On your example, the center feet are "canted" severely, a result of overdoing the "serpentine" design feature.

    Wow ! They're impressive ! Ahh. Yes I see.
I've seen an identical one advertised as 1920's so perhaps that's nearer the mark ? I've got some more photos.

Probably and, if that's correct, it's still Antique or nearly , just not period.
