Serape-Themed Game Table Cover, Wool?, 33" X 30"

Had this so long I can't recall when or where it was acquired...maybe San Diego, in the '80s. The central diamond is 13 1/2" X 5 1/2". The top 2 pics, an' the bottom one, are hanging (taped to a sliding door) to allow outside light to show thru the brilliant colors. It's about the right size for a card table.
Thread count isn't very high, but I believe it may be as old as the '30s or a little later. Do any of you have experience with this type of (northern Mexican?) textile? Your comments an' suggestions are seriously welcome. Thanks for lookin'!
