Seeking info on a piece found in attic

My husband and I found a wardrobe rack in our attic and we can't seem to find any information on it other than the patent drawings. It is a Kennedy Corner Wardrobe Rack, patented May 29, 1906, but that is all we know of it. I was hoping someone here might have seen one as my Internet searching has come up with very little. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

I decided I wanted to make use of it so I went ahead and hung it in my sewing nook.

    Only a thought.
Most bedrooms at the turn of the century and before, did not have closets. You needed an armoire. So if you didn't have the money for an armoire maybe this was another means to hang clothes.

Thank you for the input, that is what I was thinking as well. I didn't think to take a photo of it before I mounted it, but the back side has short spikes intended to penetrate the wall. Judging by the label and what I saw in the patent information, it was intended to "install in ten seconds" without the use of fasteners.

Because it's in the corner the crosspiece supports them both from pull out.

If you look close you can see the spikes. I'm assuming 3 on each side.

Wow thank you! That is awesome, I was looking for something like that. Some of what is written in the ad is also on the label that's on it. And it looks just like what I have.

Oh, that is a good find. Yes, I notice the curtain in one of the pics in your link. You could probably rig it up like that if you want to.

I haven't found much else about it since then. If I learn any more about it, I will be sure to post. Thank you all again!
