I am seeking help in dating an advertising / display clock. It is a jumbo sized "pocket watch" made by Ingersoll Watch Company for display in stores that sold or serviced their watches. It was built functional, but the original movement was replaced with a battery one sometime in the past. Since it was meant for display, it is large - 10 1/4" tall and 7.5" wide. Any help dating this item would be appreciated, thank you. Ingersoll Display Watch 3.jpg

Thank you davedempsey. I see another one on that Worthpoint Site that says 1910, so I guess there is a range.

It is just open to the movement, I think the cover was lost.

I bet it can be dated by the logo. Here are ads from 1913 and 1923. The logo appears to have moved from a horizontal to a slant. Caveat: This is from a quick internet search so not definitive but a direction you can follow.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your investigative skills, and agree that is probably an accurate time window.

At 7.5 " wide and a 6" dial and labeled 'Jumbo model watch' , it's likely a consumer item, not a advertising display clock. Most all display promo's were larger, generally 12 " to 24" dials.
