Featured Seed pot vase or something signed

    I've got this thing for 50 cents, I try and by things less than $5 because of funds. Anyone know what this is called or who the Artist is ?

    It's contemporary studio pottery, thrown on a potter's wheel, and fired with a post-firing reduction technique, also called American raku, and often just "raku," even though it really isn't.

    It's a technique credited to American potter Paul Soldner, who developed it in the late 1950s. He was influenced by traditional Japanese Raku pottery, but his approach and technique created a distinctly different type of pottery from the Japanese.

    He taught hundreds of classes and workshops in the next few decades, introducing American raku to tens of thousands of potters (and non-potters), world-wide, so it may not be possible to determine exactly who made this.
