    Should I or shouldn't I...

I have the opportunity of buying this sealed biscuits tin for about 50USD.

I do not generally collect tins, and this would be only for its potential resell value at a later date. Maybe keep it until the market is at its prime.

Would it be a fair investment or does the poor condition of the top part of the tin detract too much?

    Thanks in advance!

And I really wanted to eat it too :-P

Does the fact that it has its content increase value at all?

I'm guessing to certain folk but all about the tin I should think.

As an ex tin collector, that's about its value.

I have to ask - what on earth is a "Reading Biscuit"?

Reading used to smell of sugar and brewing beer. Not a bad combination. Slough still smells of chocolate.

Ah, the sweet smells of Milwaukee - beer (at least three breweries) bread, chocolate, Red Star yeast factory, and, at least for some time, the lovely smell of a tannery.

I'd pass on it because it will be hard to resell given the damage.

I think the damage to the wrapping is a killer. I also think it's the fancy shaped and polychrome tins that get the big bucks.

Hi, has anyone heard of the "rude" Huntley and Palmers biscuit tin from the 80s? My Mum worked there and she had one still sealed with biscuits in tact.
