This is very familiar, but my brain has given up! Brown mould blown vase, VERY heavy nice quality, with a national costumed woman. Any ideas please?

I would have thought Kosta Boda, but then I saw this one, identified as mid-century Flygsfors:

    OBB,

Wiktor Berndt did the Viking above. I would think yours would be signed though.

Is she Saint Lucia? She looks like she's wearing a crown with candles in it, a December tradition in Sweden. No clue if it's elsewhere too.

As DesperateFun has said, the Viking is by Wiktor Berndt (for Flygsfors.) There's one here:

Some of the detail is similar to that on your vase:

...but as DF said, it really ought to be signed...

Evelyb mentioned St Lucia. I'm not seeing the candles, but they could very well be there.

Thanks to my Swedish ancestry, I am quite familiar with St Lucia & St Lucia Day traditions.

According to "the editors" at Encyclopedia Britannica, St Lucia Day is celebrated in Sweden, Norway, and the Swedish-speaking areas of Finland.

No Lucia candles that I can see either. That Flygsfors does look very very similar. Thanks chaps!
