I was not aware of SBCD pottery (Santa Barbara Ceramic Design). In business from 1973-1987, they were said to have made about 80,000 pieces. They have a pretty good following with some nice value for being of relatively new make.

Just picked up this 7 1/4" vase. I am thinking it is by Dorie Knight but the signature does not match exactly. It does look like it could be her work. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks. I had not seen that. Had only seen the DK signature without the H. This link ties them together.

Had been to this site on my phone but sure couldn't see those tiny links at the bottom of the page.

Geez, that's a nice vase. Never heard of SBCD and I would've guessed it was older -- design is a bit of a throwback to earlier in the 20th c.
