Laminated plywood - not thinking it was from the Ship from 1811 but does look like Mahogany?. My barn has quite a few dressers with drawers full of junk in them so definitely don't throw it away.........:singing:

Be careful for what you wish for - My wife keeps filling it up with crap and then I get hollered at when I clean it out - it's an ongoing constant process - LOL!!!!!!!!!

Looks like some angry mice got into that top drawer. Unique-looking dovetails as well!

I regret that I would have to say scrap it. Just not enough value left.

Looks like someone wanted the jewelry and silver they thought was hidden inside. My great-great grandmother ran a boarding house in the U.P and some idiot broke out the latches on her desk too. (I have the desk) Looking for money. All she kept in it was paperwork.

The OP's chest however looks cooked. I'd take it apart for a flipper to reuse the case and the unbroken drawers. It's no good to anyone as it sits.

Remove the top drawer, remove any hardware or drawer guides, and line the interior of the space to create a shelf.

In those upcycle shows they would remove the 2 top drawers, paint it some horrible color and turn it into a bar with storage space in the drawers below.

I'm thinking lime green would be nice :D

Silver wallpaper in the back, or mirror. It would sell in lime green.
