Slurp. I've never tried an oyster and never intend to. I picked this pair of plates up today. Can anyone tell me if they're genuine, given my track record of buying fake tat. I did by a third but noticed that it has a large crack rim to rim and I'm too embarrassed to show it.

Here’s another on EBay. Not tat. Made mistakes myself this week, bought 3 silver rings and failed to notice the wear and copper underneath.

I love good Majolica. Was it you Chinois who alerted me to 'Sarreguemines' ? Love the repeated 'fractal' like quality of the shell pattern.

I mentioned it in a previous thread regarding French pottery two or three weeks ago.

I'm not sure. I think someone else might be responsible for that.

You can buy both plates if you like them that much. I will even throw in the broken one for free. I think you can actually slap one in the middle too so that will be 21 in all. D'accord?

As whittier said, why only have 6!I love them anyway i can get them including raw. I sold one of my Luneville stratsbourg rose oyster plates for $90. I had 12. Sold the rest at lower than that price. Went to the east coast. I imagine people on the coast collect them.
