I picked this beauty up at a local estate sale this morning. 13" tall, 10" wide and weighing in at 7 lbs. It's marked at the bottom: Casa Zarco / Sta. Clara Del Cobre / Mich.

Would love to learn more about it. A few questions below but if any other facts or comments I'd really appreciate it.

Anyone know anything about Casa Zarco, or how their work is considered among the other workshops in town?
Can the design or mark help anyone guess which decade this might have been made?
Does anyone know how or why it appears white/silver below the scratches and carvings?
