Sandy Sculpture -- One Off? Sandstone?

    I don't know what this is. It almost looked as if it was a carved soft stone. It had a sandy surface to it. There was only felt on the bottom.

    It was about 9 inches high.

    Do you think it was a one-off original? Any online references?

    Ive got one I found not too long ago and i love her. Shes so tactile and I love her serene face.

    Modern Balinese. He has many siblings.
    She is a he.:) Men of the aristocracy often wore their kain (sarong) pulled up to their armpits instead of fastened at the waist.

    It also says it is a Buddha, which it isn't. It is based on a (German?) Modernist sculpture, but given a Balinese costume and headscarf.
