Sailing painting signed Mimi - Mimi Usinger?

    I bought this today at a local thrift store because I liked the look + when I googled 'painting signed Mimi' it came up with a Mimi Usinger from Germany and several of her paintings had sailboats in them.
    But the signature on mine is Mimi & on the other ones I looked at online it was a scribbled version of Usinger and they had a 1930s date.
    Mine was behind glass which may have made it look older so I took it out at home.
    Could mine be by Usinger?
    Does anyone know of a artist who signs just Mimi?
    Anu other thoughts would be appreciated - I'm having 2nd thoughts on buying it.

    Certainly not Mimi Usinger because, as you point out, she signs her paintings with her surname and the date. Speaking of date... Would/could you post a photograph of the frame?

    I tried & even after reducing to 20% it said it was too large?
