1896 to 1914 repoussee? Landscape/castle/estrucan? But what about the swan on top? Cant find anything like it online. All kinds of representations but this one. Is it real? How do i find out exactly what its called or is? The swan is beautiful. i dont think its a complete set and i dont think the tray is the same as in there is no hallmark that i can find on it. A magnet does not stick any to the tray. thanks!

Ikr? I think mine is the landscape pattern but i could be wrong. Not my area of any expertise. I havent found any representations of the landscape pattern with the swan. And this is the first i have seen of the swan ...period. So thanks for your effort! I will keep everyone posted .

I have been in touch with Heritage auctions. I missed their call but did respond to an email inquiry about the set. So keep your fingers crossed that some good news comes this week!

Seems the preferred name on this pattern is Castle, but have also seen Landscape and Etruscan. These all may just be common usage names and not an actual designation by the company.

It is too bad you do not have the stand for the kettle. Makes it worth about scrap value. I would also scour that tray for any marks. If not marked for silver content, there is a good chance it is plated.

The Y is likely a piece designation. Kirk and many other high end makers of this era made a very large selection of matching pieces for each design and needed a way to indicate their use.

Ok could you elaborate a lil more? And why would this tray not have any other obvious marks or hallmarks? And how would I tell if it is from a high end silversmith?

So even for the time could one consider their series "mass produced" for that time peiod?

It is pretty. And considering it did come from the same atorage bin as the rest of the ailver along with antique furniture i am hoping that they kept par for all their belongings lol. The tray is not magnetic if thats any help. Will be looking closer this afternoon. Will keep you posted. Thanks!
