    Wan't the Moscow mule cocktail invented in US? In the 40's? The mug has the Imperial eagle stamp so must have been made prior to the 1917 Revolution.
    Could have beenused for beer or other alcohol beverage I guess.

    The historical part starts a little way down the page.

    Not sure whether your mug was made for beer or not, but possibly. I don't see the size listed but it appears to be the right shape to suggest beer or ale. Seeing the inside, I don't think it should be used for drinking anything at this point! :)
