I believe it is Russian from the Soviet era by the Mstera Jewellers in 1967.

7ЮММЕТ "... is the factory mark used by Mstera Jewellers for its metal objects. The I-O is for 'jeweller' (in Russian, obviously), the first M for Mstera, and MET to indicate that it is a non-precious metal. Often there is a number in front of the name to indicate a year in the sixties, or between the two Ms to indicate a year in the seventies."

The material is melchior, an alloy of copper with nickel and zinc usually called nickel silver.
"The name of the metal is melchior, an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. The largest component is the copper. Like nickel silver, it was developped as a silver substitute, but contains absolutely no silver. Sometime in the sixties, fancier objects or tourist items, such as salt cellars, became silverplated. Melchior was also widely used for jewellery."

It's Soviet - silverplate on nickel silver (melchior), manufactured by Mstera Jewellers , the '6' and '7' would be the last digits of the year made, should be mid 20th century, but not at home to dig into my files for which decade...

Mak - So if I read between the lines of your post, you are questioning whether these pieces are "really" Soviet because they don't have the price included on them. Is that right?

Since this Soviet stuff has no intrinsic metal value, it wouldn't make a lick of sense for anyone to "fake" them. At least not in my view.

I bought this little thing(I know next to nothing about silver) after inspecting it for silver marking and found none. Still bought it. I was just wandering, after reading all the stuff online wether it was really russian. You just gave me the answer. Thanks.

The argument regarding the material has gone on for several years with one member of the 925-1000 forums (he is mistaken about the 'jewelers metal') - this woman insisted hers was silver (definitely not):
