    Hi all,

I can use help identifying the artist of this painting and am curious about what others think about quality, subject matter, etc.

Adding to the mystery, this (see last pic) came up in my image search:

Thanks in advance for any replies. I will be uploading pics of the framing and more details shortly.

    The painting (with frame) is 32 x 23 x 1.75".

Yours is much nicer, but they are both probably copies of an original or a photo.

I read either M Kaiser or M Russel. I don't see Cyrillic script.

Finding two makes me think they are both likely copies of some third.

Atleast as AJ said your copy is really much nicer/finer and the colours richer. The little girl’s face in the second copy is really a bit scary.

Is that style of dress called a dirndl? Could indicate German origin.

Looks like her eyes are cut out and you can shine lights through them.
    Dude's girl is sweet.
Not a Dirndl imo. Just the fashion of the time, maybe 1960 or so.

I had a dirndl skit and loved it. That was in the 70's I think. It may still be in my closet.
