I have a ruffled diamond patterned clear to purple glass on either a bowl or an ashtray. I was wanting to know if this was a bowl or an ashtray? Also, the company and pattern? The length and height dimensions are based on whether measuring from top or bottom of the curve while the bottom dimensions is based on squared bottom. The dimensions range from 4" - 4 1/4" squared for the top, 2" squared bottom and range from 1"- 1 1/4" height. Thank you for assistance in this request. Rob

Bowls are round. I'd say this is an ashtray.
