Ruby Stained Pressed Glass Decanter

    I am guessing American. Any help with age and maker?

    Probably 1890-1905, yeah, American. The pattern consists of stacked Hexagonal Blocks, but that's not necessarily its name. No, I don't know its' name.

    Found the same one online but the stopper is not stained. Is mine original?

    From the pics, this looks ruby 'flashed', not 'stained'.

    pressed glass is ruby stained; which is painted on and fired to set the stain.
    blown glass is flashed; which is a layer of glass added over the base layer of clear glass, and then cut to clear to achieve a pattern motifs.

    if this were flashed and cut to clear the lines would be sharply defined; tho' many times it's hard to tell from photos alone. This pattern is documented ruby stained EAPG.
