Have a ruby cut to clear bowl, that I am going to assume is Bohemian. Was wondering if someone could confirm that. Also is there any way to tell a particular maker? Measures 10" wide and is 4 1/4" deep. Thanks

I'd agree Bohemian. Maker will be a mystery. ;)

Hm. I think probably yes on that, from the base and what looks like the colour.

Sorry for the delay in getting back. So do we think Bohemian or Chinese?

I'm inclined to Bohemian, but it honestly doesn't matter. It's value is decorative.

Looks like an item that would sell well before X-Mas.

Offer it as the Star of Bethlehem !

there was a German company that has done this stuff after the war in the west. background: all Germans were either killed or driven out of the former Czecho-Slovakia in accordance with the Benes decrees; also anti-Commnis Czechs fled to the west zone. the old original Bohemian red is a teeny wee bit darker than this here, but the techniques were still the same.
