Hello I was recently given this royal doulton plate/dish from a family member. I'm unsure if its a fake or got any value. My partner is convinced it's not genuine. Is there anyone, who may be able to assist with this? As a mother to toddlers I'd hate to display it, if it was of any value, at least until my children are older.
    Thankyou in advance.

It's fine. Early 20th mark, up till about 1930. One of their series ware plates. Not massive value, ten quid at most.

Why did your partner become convinced that it was fake? Since a genuine one is not very valuable, why would anyone make a fake anyway?

Once upon a time, British porcelains sold for real money. Even then ... who'd bother? This is transfer ware, and not worth the effort.
