Royal Doulton (Burslem) Jug - Pattern/Flower and Ivory stamp

    I know from the blue stamped marking this piece dates to around 1890s - early 1900s, but I don't know what the A1147 hand-painted number/marking and the impressed Ivory are all about.
    As best I can tell from a search of A1147 in conjunction with Royal Doulton, it's maybe somehow related to a pattern, as I find it on various pieces. The mystery there remains as the butterflies and flowers all appear to vary (and I don't know what flower(s) this might be). I'm guessing the pattern line was not identical in decoration, but.... <shrugs>
    And then, as mentioned before, there's the Ivory marking.

    I'm not one of the potties, so may be way off, but perhaps they made this jug in several body colors & this one is from the ivory line.

    Ivory is the body colour and was a Doulton term. The A1147 is the decor, 21 is the shape.

    Thanks, @Ownedbybear, for that confirmation. I hadn't even thought to ask about the 21, so that's good to know.
