Featured Round foot stool ball claw feet

    Hi.

    Is this 19th century and walnut maybe do you think?
    Some damage to the venere but i think its unusual with the ball claw metal feet.

    It measures 13 inches in diameter by 5 inches in height approx

    My idle guess would be Edwardian into the '20s, but lots of people here know better than me.

    Odd thing.... Due to the quality of the feet and the attention to detail, would think 19th century.

    There's a number of similars floating around the internet. And they're all upholstered in (roughly) the same fabric. Wonder if it's not original.

    Hi Debora.you mean the fabric on stool might not be original?can you post link to similar stool with the claw feet i cant seem to find them but i could be inputing wrong search.

    Looks like somewhere between 1880 and 1900. Verybrad is correct about the level of detail. The chevron/triangle frieze seems very English to me.

    Might try searching also for 'ottoman'. Just specify you mean footstool/furniture & not a Turk.

    Thanks maybe the upholstry is original .ive come across footstools with feet like the ones youve posted on my travels before but didnt pick them up.
    i picked up my one mainly because it looked different with the claw and ball feet.
