Rolex fake is obvious, Can you see it?

A friend gave me this after I told him he couldn't sell a fake Rolex Oyster Date.
Without even opening the case i showed him three red flags. One is it is battery operated. can you spot the other two?

The fact that nobody took care of it properly and it is supposedly expensive?

The crown symbol is mushy

It has a lame "leather" strap

The design of the hands

All the engraving on the back

 

Yes it’s fake but not because it’s battery. Rolex made quartz battery watches from the 70s to the early 2000s. Oysterdate is wrong, font is wrong, second hand is too short, crown is crooked....enough right there.

The one thing that stood out the most for me was Oysterdate also. Have you ever seen a date watch with no date?"

 

So sad but I’ve seen so many luxury items over the years that were authentic but were trashed by entitled pigs who didn’t appreciate what they owned. This however is not one of them.

As I said, Oysterdate was wrong. I’ve worn a Rolex consistently since 1974 although I’ve changed models over the years.
