I found this poster today. I'm not sure if it's a original lithograph or a print. It's a different shade from the other reproductions I've seen and printed on thick cardboard (or perhaps pasted onto thick cardboard) It lacks the blue border. Unusually, the board has been pierced in two places, suggesting that it was once hung up unframed. 20171013_190145.jpg 20171013_190159.jpg 20171013_190234.jpg 20171013_190323.jpg 20171013_190534.jpg

Does appear to have been trimmed and suffered sun damage. Was widely reproduced.

Is there a way to tell if it's an original or a reproduction?

If it were mine I’d take it to an honest antique paper restorer and ask them, they should be able to tell immediately without charge. Meanwhile take a magnifier and see whether there’s a dot pattern in the colored areas. I honestly don’t whether dots would be definitive for a 1910 piece, but I seem to recall someone saying that a poster of this age would have been lithographed with a cut stone, no dots. Get some advice on whether even an original poster like this is “worth restoring.” Since it has been cut down it’d probably have little collector value, so what would restoring it do for you?

Hope some poster ex-spurt will show up, I dunno much about ‘em.

Thank you for the advice and the link! There isn't a dot pattern in the colored area.
