Rhinestone and gold tone bird brooch

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out when and where this was made. It is 5"L and the rhinestones are prong set. The gold tone part is attached in a similar way as the Garnet brooch I had a couple of week ago, so maybe Czech/Bohemian for this one?
Any information appreciated.

Well that certainly is an unusual construction. Was the garnet brooch you mention similar in construction?

I may be way off base, but I'm thinking 1980s. Only a guess.

Although similar, they are a different type of construction. I also think they reflect two different time periods, as well as origins.

I think 1980s and American or British. Nice stones, might be Swarowski. That big bling waterfall thing was huge in the 80s.

It's a lovely thing. Probably meant to be worn on the shoulder, rather than on a jacket.

 

Probably 1980's, reminds me of Butler & Wilson but I can't say for sure that it is.

 

Certainly possible, not all their stuff is marked.
