    Hi all

i recently bought a Geisha figurine with a signature on the back as a present for a friend. Since i wanted to avoid buying plain resin figures i focussed on color differences like you can see on the images i made from it ( at the back and her bum is a large darker area as well in the right side wave of her dress and at the bottom where the mark is) Sadly enough i also found a few holes at the back that probably tell its resin...?

Can anyone confirm or tell me how its possible to see these color deviations in the figure if its not bone or ivory? I thought i knew enough to avoid buying fakes and casted figures. I have seen a lot of obvious resin figures the last few months but this figure was different so combined with the color deviations i thought i had found at least a bone figure or something that had some value.

thanks, btw my english isnt very good so sorry for typo s

Most folks here won't click links. Someone here will be able to point you to the instructions for how to upload photos. I clicked one and saw a "wants to know your location" popup and promptly clicked off. From what little I saw, she looked like resin.

    She's nicely done, good detailing.
Not bone or ivory. Resin or some sort of composite. The different coloration on the back maybe stain. It doesn't seem to detract from her though.
