Renoir "Place De La Trinite" Licensed Sotheby London Litho in USA.

I seen this at the Goodwill and noticed the phrase "Lincesed Sotheby London" and bought it quickly. The thing is, I've never seen any big artist like this, with a litho stating Licensed Sotheby London. I know that Sotheby is a large auction house of Fine Art and such. I'm wondering if this is indeed a one of a kind litho made from Sotheby's printing department.

 

It was printed in USA. In my opinion it's just another decorative print.

 

I contacted Sotheby's about this print and they requested pictures of it and any markings that it has. I did notice a stamp mark on the back of this print, don't know what it is though.

 

Well, Sothesby Got back with me and advised me that it wasn't valued enough to fall into their auction but have me two places to contact if I was interested in selling it. Both businesses deal with high priced posters and prints.

This will be one litho that I will hold onto for quite some time. Now it's time to find a spot to hang it.
