So had to buy it, I am sure even with damage it has to be worth something.
One not damaged sold recently for almost $50K, if you don't have $50K would you still want this piece? Worth having restored? Lol definitely not Elon Musk. Somewhat sharp, building relationship's for the last 30 years and being in the right place at the right time.

certainly don't restore it as true collectors won't touch it anyway.

Can't beleive 50K* as it's very well known but then I'm not in the states !!

( also known as "poissons xxxx"

( can't remember but google will help there too "

*if you try google "Lalique Vase "Penthievre " you'll see what I mean :)

Jeffrey Evans is a true glassie in the auction world business. You could send him a request for auction evaluation. https://jeffreysevans.com/

I like Lalique; but if I woke up in the dead of the night to see those critters staring at me, that thing would be a lot of elegant glass shards!

I don't know about this kind of glass. If I saw it, I probably would have passed it by.
Goes to show how little I know.

Bets are that it's Lalique. And that one Charlie posted says it's signed "R. Lalique", just like this. No reason to think this isn't the real deal.

Looking at other colors they seem to be currently valued the $10K range, a quick search shows a blue Penthievre vase was estimated at Barnebys for $5K in 2019. I couldn't tell from the listing whether it sold or exceeded that. Unless I'm missing something I'm not seeing ones currently selling for $50K, but maybe older versions?

If you are keeping, I'd just turn that section to the back. It's beautiful.

To that point, last summer at an estate sale there were a bunch of dealers waiting for the door to open, and a few tables with old florist vases outside. With nothing to do but wait, I have to think the dealers scanned the tables pretty well. Doors opened and everyone poured inside. I got there right as it opened and just went straight in. About 2 hours into the sale (I'm someone who really sticks around and digs at sales...) I went back outside and really didn't see anything, but decided just to pick up this one clear and frosted vase with deers on it. I thought it was a florist vase or something, and here is the Lalique signature! So others miss them sometimes too.

I'm sorry but I don't understand why it looks like yours has been painted black and tan or what is going on with the surface being matte and not shiny like glass?

Killer piece that someone should want, despite the damage. Looks to be a frosted variation with an early mark.

I'm a bit like Antidiem and can't figure out the colours ? can't find grey and blue !

am actually wondering if it's a real Lalique ?

( you could always sell it to Verybrad happy jump.gif ... despite the damage ? whistle.gif )
I repeat again that true glass collectors won't touch a repaired object )
