I found this old camera, does anyone know anything about it? All I know is that it's a Polaroid from the case.

Definitely an "advanced use" model, likely for professionals, as Komo mentioned.

It’s difficult to see without more photos and clearer photos but it’s possibly the camera is a Polaroid Model 800 Land Camera.

But the flash isn’t from the model 800 land camera. It says power flash model 240 so more photos would allow a definitive answer. They may have been purchased separately.

Cool leather box though, love the utility of it.

I wonder whether this is the 8 X 10 model - or one that takes that size film?

I think you can get film for most cameras now but whether they are affordable is a different matter xD haha just speculating, Im not sure either

I started messing around with it to get pictures at different angles and the front popped open and startled me  I honestly did not expect it to work like that. But on the plus side that told me the model!

You were so close Nathan! One off. It's from 1955-57 and is a 700.

The Impossible Project now manufactures film that the original companies stopped making. I don't think they make this model's film but maybe someday they will. I'll put it away in case my nieces or nephew (or my future kids? Ew) gets into photography. Maybe it'll make a comeback by the time they're old enough.

Just on the subject of more wild antiques, I also grabbed a shot of this majestic creature today. Old typewriters are the best.

    It is incrediably heavy!

There's a good number out there. I read that professionals prefer under 200 models so the demand on 700 isn't crazy big. It has the original case and accessories (and I found a second cool flash bulb). It's super cool!

Just went and grabbed this pic of my favorite part of the set:

    What a snazzy flash bulb!

I imagine it could push over £30 I think but I haven’t looked them up at all. They look cool though displayed with the bellows open  I have about 20 I bought of 1 guy xD

As for the typewriter, looks around 1940. It around the £30-40 mark too. But it’s worth seeing the model of Royal typewriter it is, see if it’s rarer

    Wonderful stuff.
Just one thing, you call them antiques, but if you want to sell them you'd better not. Antiques are 100yrs+, these are vintage 1950s, etc. So you will have to wait a few decades before you can call them antique.;)
Some vintage items sell better than some true antiques, so you don't need the term antique to sell. There are collectors out there for these.

Yeah the coolness factor outweighs the value for me. Those two will keep living in the basement. That typewriter was actually one of the first things I wrote on (it's only been a dust magnet for the past decade) I'll try to check it and look for a model number when a I go down there today.

I never knew the difference between the two but it makes so much more sense now! Thank you. I'm a writer so I like word precision.

Hopefully I'll be posting more shots of cool stuff today as I keep digging!

Just found this - it looks like something straight off of Antique's Roadshow! But it's in great condition so probably not old. Very cool piece though.

It's not a printed side, it's real clay and the figures all pop a bit, plus the top is real metal. I really love this bad boy! Too bad it doesn't have a partner because if you drink out of this on your own you would look insane or incredible... I can't decide which

Definately incredible @Justbrowsing, you’d have to be insane to not think it’s incredible xD xD.
There should be some marks on the base of the stein, that should help identify it. Looks very nice from the looks of it

I just got some more info on it. That stein was bought in 1948 by someone in the family, although it was supposedly used & not new.

It cracked at some point in ownership by the family (nobody takes claim for that) and was fixed by glue, which was so good I couldn't see the crack before I knew, and still can't. The bottom of it only has the word Germany etched in, there's nothing else on it to identify it sadly.

My father kind of shrugged it off as being something that is cool but probably not of value. So I asked him if the crack was fixed theoretically could someone drink out of it? He said yes so of course I had to ask well could I drink out of it and he goes why not! I know what I'm doing with my weekend

:angelic:kidding. I'll be cleaning up this basement, lol.

Then my father was telling me about the 700 camera, and how my grandfather used to be able to copy photos before it was done in the average household. Not five minutes later I find this box. The camera has a companion! It looks in great working order.

Yeh he is probably right, not worth too much. Steins rarely are, big souvenirs but when you see a good one you know it.

    Cool, a complete set
