REAL OR FAKE 1943 S PENNY?

    Hi to everybody, My friend found old 1943 s penny, He needs help to know if this is a real penny or just copper filled.

    Seems as if a magnet is the easiest way to see if it’s copper coated steel.

    Non were officially struck that year in copper, they were zinc coated steel.
    Weigh it.
    If it weighs 3.11 grams then it has been altered.

    Need better images to determine if it is cast or Chinese fake. The tiny voids along the edge make it a good suspect to be cast.

    Sure is missing a lot of detail, probably a steel cent coated with copper for amusement or intent to deceive.
