    Dear everyone,

I'd like to ask for your help in identifying the origins of this teddy bear. I got him at a flea market in the Netherlands. Later on, my friend noticed that the bear could be older than from the 1960s/70s because of the elongated face and materials used. My friend and I are unsure. I'd greatly appreciate it if you have more info. Please check out the photos below.

    Thank you all.

Een hartelijk welkom uit Brabant, Erika.
He is cute, but not a Steiff bear. Are there any tags anywhere?

I am no Teddy bear expert, but I do know that rare doesn't always mean it is valuable or even collectible.

Hi! :) No tags, I'm afraid. Yes, he's not a Steiff bear indeed.

I bought him from the flea market/rommelmarkt because of his cute face then my friend said it might be older than we think so I'm looking for info about his origins. Either way, I'm glad to have him. I'm thinking of giving him a surface wash soon.

No truer words ever spoken. With high rarity, you also need demand.I'm amazed how cheaply some beautiful items sell for on Ebay- a find that'd make my month/year sells for $50 online ! It's all demand.

Thank you! I appreciate you checking! The stuffing feels like straw. I don't dare unstitch him a bit to find out. It seems he might be from the 70s indeed. I'm going to give a surface rinse very soon :):):)

Please don't, it will be very difficult to put him back together without seeing the repair.:nailbiting:
He will be even happier than he looks now.:bear:
