    Hi all,
I took one of my yearly trips yesterday down the old Sacramento River Road. Visiting all the little towns along the river. This print was in a little pickers type thrift/junk store.
It was $1.00 so I grabbed it.

I couldn't find any of his works that sold. Seems most are in private collections.
I'm not sure what this print is of either. 9/20

Are you sure it is the same artist? Yours appears to be signed "D E Cunningham". The Oregon artist was D L Cunningham.

Bulldogs-Cunningham taught just down the road from us at Marylhurst University in West Linn Oregon. He did beautiful work reminiscent of Roosevelt era WPA regionalism.
Re Old Sacramento River Rd.,one of My Wife's oldest friends family founded Locke,CA,a famous 19th-early 20th century Chinese American village in the Sacramento Delta,a beautiful haunting place.

I agree, based on the examples I looked at, I would think a different artist.

This bit looks like wood block or linoleum block. Worth a punt for a dollar. If you like it, hang it.

It is all too easy to get excited about a potential good find, and overlook the details. Happens to us all.

Keep up the hunt,it's a nice little abstract, and you've got a good eye. Some of my favorite art (pieces that we've had 20 yrs or more),are unsigned,ie: 'priceless' & we love 'em.

I was planning to stop in Locke But it is basically a dead town except for on weekends. Two antique shops are only open Saturday and Sunday.

Lot's of Ghost Hunters visit Locke. It's a unique little inhabited ghost town (perhaps 5-10 people actually live there ?).

We stopped by a general store on one of the islands back in the early 80's.They still had some 1940's stock on the shelves-old boxes of Burma Shave and other non-perishables.Is there an island in the Delta called 'Dante's Island' ?...sounded something like that.
