im pretty sure that it reads Fait Main Vallauris but then there is a signature. I can’t read this. Any thoughts?

If this is a jug, how do you fill it? I don't see an obvious lid. I thought it looked like he should be holding a posey.

Is the tail the spout and not the handle?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. You fill him through the tail and the little hole like an acorn is the spout. He’s 25cm tall. I don’t have him yet but I’ve always liked Vallauris designs.

I never like to give up so wrote to the Vallauris tourist office.

    here is the result

Your pretty ceramic does indeed come from Vallauris. It is the work of ceramists Claude and Nicole Garzo, who used to live in the town. Their daughter Céline Garzo, also a ceramist, subsequently ran a boutique "Le Petit Atelier" still in Vallauris.

We hope that these details will help you and wish you a pleasant end of the day.
