Question on vintage earring & pin set

    In person, this looks like real gold. I didn't see any markings until I was editing the photographs. I was excited because it looked like it tested positive for 14K, however, the sample slowly disappeared. It did take quite a while. The same thing happened when I tested it for 10K. It was negative for sterling. Do you think it has some gold content? I've never tested a gold filled piece and I was wondering if anyone knows what the result is when gold filled pieces are tested?

    Any guess as to the age of this set? I thought maybe 40's or 50's. Thank you.
