quadruple silver plate with SSS marking

hi all!
I have a set of Salad Servers that say the above on them. trying to find out what the value is & if they are antiques. I believe they would be from the 1950-60 era.
New here, so not sure how this sight works. any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Just looked at another feed that "Brad" put up back in 2015. his candlestick has the same SSS mark as mine. in that feed it says "SSS Hawthorn NJ". when I tried to do research, it brings me back to this sight?

 

Welcome, debi! No, they are not "antiques" yet. Antiques are 100 years old or more and your servers are not quite there. The usual suggestion for finding value is to search sites like eBay or Etsy for similar items, making sure to limit your search to "sold" listings when possible. The maker of your set is not particularly special or sought after, so when you search don't include the maker in search terms, just the approximate date, piece type and material.

The 'Studio Silversmiths' items were distributed by Sun Glo Studios of New York City - can't see any pic on this post, but the salad sets are often the Scandinavian-inspired beaded pattern called 'Ingrid' which was designed by Royal Hickman and originally produced, starting in 1946, by Three Crowns Silversmiths in Pottstown, PA Their goods were also distributed by Sun Glo Studios - suspect the 'Studio Silversmiths' name might have come into use when Three Crowns Industries went out of business in the early '60s.
