Purple and blue swirl glass vase - ruffled rim - bell shaped vase - origin/maker?

It's about 7" high and the base is about 3 1/2" wide. I hadn't seen this shape before so of course - I bought it! Unsigned/unmarked - any idea on the maker?

No idea, but it looks like it was meant to resemble Blue John or the like. (Now if only it were really Blue John!)

 

Had to look up Blue John - it does indeed have a resemblance. Beautiful stuff!

I think it is glass from Arkansas. There was a piece being discussed on a thread not too long ago. Sooner glass. There is also another company Smith's Old Timer glass that I think may be a closer match.

Thanks all - I'll chalk this up to being some variant of Sooner/Arkansas glass and call it a day. As a side note - I see tons of those sooner swans around but hadn't seen this shape before.
