Not familiar but I'm not sure I'd pay someone for information I can find for free. And actually prices can be dependent on so many variables, condition, location, marketing......

We did use them once. They had a flat fee of $6.00 to give a price of a similar item that has already sold. We were unable to find out anymore than that which made us be doubtful about the price they quoted.
So 1% might be entirely appropriate, just not sure we want to go that route just yet.

Do you know where they are getting their prices? If you want prices for closed Ebay auctions that are old Worthpoint has a paid subscription. I tried a free trial and gave it a try there once but for me it wasn't worth paying for prices. Ebay tends to be all over the place with selling prices and information that's several years old may or may not have relevance. I do go there for information on item specifics that some people seem to leave out of their auctions and that's free.

Many auction houses have online catalogs with past results that are available if it's an item worthy of a large auction house. I use liveauctioneers for access to sold auctions from many auction houses that use them as an online service. If you have an account, which is free, you can view past prices. There are other similar online auction services as well.

I also use Liveauctions. It's free to register, and they send emails of upcoming auctions if one is interested.

I use Priceminer (subscription) and Liveauctioners (free but must subscribe with password). Also, if I have a high ticket item, I will search past auction results from the big well-known auction houses. Also, accessible for free also online.
