    hi folks

something else i found in a charity shop the other day.
there is some kind of mark that i cant work out, dont know if its worn or what
bought it at a costume price, but hoping its sterling
sure looks like it, the bezels look individually cut and soldered
good size and weight as well. 35g
not sure what these kind of necklaces are called either, but like the design
    any info or comments appreciated

Very nice and elegant, charlie. I suspect it is by one of the Jaipur makers, from Rajasthan, NW India.
    It is a Y necklace.:)

Certainly looks like silver. The mark looks like L something but I guess you got that far.
Maybe you should just list it as white metal and let the market decide.
Lobster makes it pretty new as you prob know. Regardless it's still nice.

Yes, it is silver. The present day Jaipur makers use sterling.

All I know is that would resell quickly, or equally quickly land in a jewelry hoard.

I think I see an indent on the lobster clasp, is it stamped 925 there? I usually look at the clasps for 925 and think I may see something on yours but it's not close enough to be certain in the pic. That may help if it has something there for you but it definitely looks like silver to me too, especially as the jump rings look closed and soldered together, this tends to indicate silver and not a cheaper metal. :)

    Good eyes Eils !!
gave it a bit of sunshine cloth and lighting edit before sale as well, thats great that it is actually marked

wondering if they are supposed to mimic branches ?

That's the usual spot on the clasp.

Yes I do too, but realized the clasp may be silver but not the rest. In this particular case, the rest DOES INDEED LOOK LIKE SILVER.

Yes, I think it is a vine-leaf pattern too. Good observation.
