Pre-columbian style whimsy sax musical instrument firing marks

    This is interesting as the bottom has black marks like it was primitively fired. 9 inches long. Saxes are only about 150 years old. Perhaps it's not a sax. It doesn't make any sounds by blowing into it as far as I can tell. The tapping of it doesn't sound particularly low or high but I am no expert. When I put water on it and smell it does have an earthy "green" smell. Ideas?

    It is much younger than the first sax.
    And I am guessing there isn't a reed to be found anywhere, so not a sax.

    No sax, ;)
    Is a mayan burner (sahumador) popochcomitl.

    But not precolumbian, this is modern
