Pottery Pitcher

    Marked on the bottom USA GL-78, with a picture of a drummer. Has a scene odf the USS Wasp capturing the HMS Frolic during the War Of 1812. Measures 6 3/8" tall and is 4" wide.

    josh: i have the same one.I've found nothing about it,but i'm thinking bicentennial.good luck.

    Thanks, you are probably right. I have a found few of these and none have been identified.

    I imagine you're looking for the maker of this jug. That I don't know but if it helps this is a reproduction type of creamware commemorative jug. You may find some called Liverpool jugs that were very popular 200 years ago and since.
