Pottery Canister Box With Face JG Help

Hi,
I've had this for a couple of months, pull it out every other week to see if I can find something like it but come up with nothing. I've been searching pottery box or canister face JG - any ideas on what else I can try? 5"W x 8 3/4"H x 2 3/4"D, textured finish, face is on both sides.

Cx-girl, a bit of silliness on my part, but I'd call it an "Almost Pinocchio" cookie jar. If a family member took 7 cookies at one time and then 'fessed up to taking only 2 cookies the warning would be that his/her nose would grow like the man's nose the cookie jar.

 

lol @yourturntoloveit I remember my brother doing that, always saying someone else took the other cookies!

 

Looks like what I think is called slab pottery or slab-work. Slabs or flat pieces of pottery are joined together. Thinking that because of the texture.

 

You are right on Wendy! I took this to a studio to see if they knew the potter - they didn't but explained how it was made.

 

Well, DS took one art course in high school and he made a slab pyramid, so that's how I knew, LOL!
