Pottery Base Lamp

    I was wondering if anyone knows any information about this lamp.
    The base is some kind of pottery (it is very rough on the inside) and there are no marks or symbols that I can see.
    There seems to be distinctly two kinds of metal on the top and one seems much older than the other (repair?).

    Any info will be appreciated!

    This sort of style was all the rage in the 80s . I think its just a pottery lamp from that era .
