Postcard Publisher’s Mark

    Curious if anyone recognizes the mark on the back of this postcard. It’s a horse head poking through a horseshoe

    1960’s RPPC showing Thich Quang Duc (The Burning Monk). Postcard was part of a soldier’s scrapbook with photos and letters and so forth from the Vietnam War

    That image still overwhelms me with immense grief and sadness...what an enormous waste of human empathy, and integrity.

    edit: not a waste: a sacrifice in the ultimate sense.

    R. Guilleminot, Bœspflug et Cie
    This firm is actually the supplier of photographic paper, in the form of preprinted postcard sheets, and not the publisher of any particular card. The cards normally have the name up the left hand side, and often but not always the horse/shoe logo in the middle at the top. Guilleminot, Bœspflug et Cie produced photograpic plates and papers from 1858 to 1994.
