I am considering buying this coin ring and I think that it could possibly be quite old. Most of the time I find a coin ring it's pretty obvious that the coin was mounted much later in a modern type setting. This ring however has an 1857 Indian Princess mounted on an antique gold band. Do you guys think that this coin ring was made in the late 1800s perhaps? Any ideas?

The back has a lot less wear than the front; my guess would be it's been a ring for a while.

The back side looks like it's a casting,it would need to be tested for metal content.

It looks the real deal to me but obviously a test would confirm.

Diameter should be 15mm with no tolerance either way.
Its the second most common date.

The gold value of the coin is $92.55 today. 22k at 1.672 grams
